Durch die Software-Patent-Richtlinie des Europäischen Ministerrats sollen Software-Patente im US-Stil in der EU eingeführt werden. Am 6. Juli hat das Europäische Parlament eine letzte Chance, dies aufzuhalten. Dafür müssen 367 der insgesamt 732 Mitglieder erscheinen und mit „NEIN“ abstimmen.
